The Bunch of Things We Did on Thanksgiving Day

So what did you do on Thanksgiving? It's a classic question everyone asks the fews days after Thanksgiving. So what did we do? Well, we did a bunch of things, so here are a bunch of pictures for your personal enjoyment!
This thanksgiving was a little bit different this year. Instead of turkey, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole, my family and I had Brazillian food at a pretty posh restaurant in downtown Fort Worth called Texas de Brazil.Texas de Brazil is an amazing Brazillian steakhouse, where you get a card with a red ("stop") and green ("go") side. It worked somewhat like a game; turn over your green side, and men come by with different meats (beef, pork, chicken, lamb) and carve them onto your plate. Turn over your red side, and you say "stop," although they still come by even when your card is on the red side. And in the picture above is me with my gorgeous chocolate moose cake and--no, that is not wine! It is Brazillian soda "made from a berry in the Amazon," or so they say...
After eating, we went to Ice!, a spectacular ice sculpture exhibit at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine. See the picture above? All that behind us is made entirely out of ice!
Above: Me in the ice castle!
Although they gave everyone giant blue coats to wear in the exhibit, it was still freezing! We all came out literally finding it difficult to move our lips. After Ice!, we hung around in a holiday wonderland at the Gaylord Texan. We saw giant white Christmas trees, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, a real reindeer, and a life-size gingerbread house that turned out to be a store. They always have to incorporate selling in everything. :)
Thanksgiving ended on a sad note, however. Every Thanksgiving, we watch a movie, and this year it was The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (above) about two young boys, a German and a Jew, who become friends during the Holocaust. It was a good movie, although it made us sad on Thanksgiving.

Though our Thanksgiving was full of activities, we didn't forget the purpose of Thanksgiving--to give thanks. I, personally, am thankful for my family and friends; but this year, I am especially thankful for the fact that I live in a rich and beautiful country, where we can have a Thanksgiving feast and watch movies every year, while there are children around the world who can't have what we have. This holiday season, let us remember those that are less fortunate and try to give a little more this year.

Next stop--CHRISTMAS!!! YAYAYAYAYAY I LOVE CHRISTMAS!

Ice! is at the Gaylord Texan, a hotel in Grapevine. They're still doing it, so you can go see it!

My aunt picked that outfit for me. Of course, she's the fashion expert!
