We never watch Oscar movies, but when Slumdog Millionaire won the Oscar for Best Picture, we decided to watch it. And I've got to tell you, it is a very excellent movie. It is about about Jamal, an orphan growing up in the slums of India. As a young man, he joins the TV show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and somehow is able to answer every question correctly while saving his lifelines. Being thought to be nothing but a foolish "slumdog," he is accused of cheating; but as the police question him, Jamal tells them the sad story of his life, how he knew all the answers, and the true reason why he joined the show. It's pretty intense and definitely not a movie you'd want to take your little kids to, but it has a very profound story. GO WATCH IT!!!Friday, February 27, 2009

Wow, I loved Slumdog Millionare. It is the best movie of 2009 so far, but I don't know how anyone can top it. Did you know that all of the profit the film makes is going to be distributed to the slums of India?!!??!!
Yeah! I heard that even the kids that were in the movie used to live in the slums, and now they're going to build houses for them!
