May 7 is my mom's birthday. This year is a very special year (and I'm not telling you why!), but this birthday had to be extra special. Thus, my dad and I had some big plans. First, we surprised my mom in the morning with a gift card to her favorite store, Ann Taylor, and another gift card for a massage at Massage Envy. That evening, we treated her to a classy dinner at Cacharel.
The food was absolutely fabulous--a three course meal with appetizer, entree, and dessert. I had a Caesar salad, sauteed Norwegian salmon on champagne dill sauce, and my dessert was a chocolate souffle with whipped cream. My mom had many surprises at the restaurant: my dad had roses for her delivered to our table, and the restaurant's guitar player did a private little show for us with "Happy Birthday," and two Bach preludes in C minor and D minor. I enjoyed the evening just as much as my mom did! Happy Birthday, Mommy! I love you!
Next stop...Mother's Day. ;)
