All is Fair at the State Fair

For my dad's birthday, we had a great time at the State Fair of Texas, and everyone knows that the State Fair is all about two things--shopping and eating. We did mostly the latter (as seen in the photo above). :D We had it all: ice cream, cotton candy, corny dogs, roasted corn, fried peanut butter and jelly, and chicken-fried bacon. Contrary to my dad's belief, chicken-fried bacon was just fried bacon, with no chicken. Chicken-fried steak doesn't have chicken in it either...

Being the first day of the fair, news reporters were everywhere reporting! The best part was that we got to be on TV!!! On channel 11 during the weather forecast!!! Below is meteorologist Larry Mowry...
