Who says a lock-in means you have to be "locked in"? Because at this Lock-In we were OUT!
As soon as everyone met up at church, we rushed to McDonalds for dinner, then ventured out to Arlington Highlands for a Freebie Scavenger Hunt! Among the list included a job application, a french fry, a disposable toilet seat cover, a stranger's autograph--all things you can get for free at random stores. It turned out, both teams tied, so we're all happy. XD
Following the scavenger hunt, we headed for the lake for a late night lesson by the water. We learned about Jesus walking on water, and how Christian life is, well--our YPC theme for the year--Adventure With God. And it turned out that a happy little duck joined in our lesson as well. He quacked about after every time my dad talked!
Then we went back to church for Bible study and rounds of games. We started with a life-size version Clue, which became more like an adventure game than a mystery game ;-P; then we went to the garage for my game in the dark, based off the thriller movie I Am Legend. On the picture above, we played Jordan's game which turned out to be the favorite game of the night!
So the YPC Lock-In was an adventure--a great way to kick off the new year of YPC! Being a Christian isn't boring at all. It's an Adventure With God!
